Habit Burger Grill opens Jan. 11 on Route 18 in East Brunswick
EAST BRUNSWICK - The Habit Burger Grill on Route 18 will open on Jan. 11.
The California-based chain open its 15th restaurant in New Jersey at 751 Route 18 South near the Brunswick Square Mall. The restaurant will be open 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.
“We have a long history with the State of New Jersey, and we’re so proud to say we’ve added East Brunswick as our latest restaurant to open in the Garden State,” Douglas Branigan, chief development officer of Habit Burger Grill, said in a release. "We can’t wait to feed the folks of East Brunswick, and show them our care and love of craft in every single item we prepare.”
In honor of the grand opening, the restaurant will host a pre-opening VIP event for their CharClub and mobile app members. Guests can receive an invite by signing up at habitburger.com/eastbrunswick.
The VIP event will kick off Jan. 5 with Free Charburger Day. The first 200 guests at 11:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. will receive a free Charburger, fries and drink. Free Habit Day will be held Jan. 7, Jan. 8 and Jan. 10 with the first 200 guests at 11:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. receiving a free chargrilled meal from one of its pre-set menus.
Visitors must be a CharClub member and present VIP invitation in order to participate.
The township Planning Board approved CT07 Chai LLC's plan to construct the approximately 3,033-square-foot restaurant in 2019.
The East Brunswick restaurant will offer dine-in, takeout and drive-thru and curbside pick-up. Delivery will be available via The Habit Mobile App and online at order.habitburger.com.
Guests will also have other ordering options including indoor self-serve kiosks and delivery through DoorDash, Postmates and Uber Eats.
The Habit Burger Grill is a fast-casual restaurant specializing in cooked-to-order chargrilled burgers and sandwiches with grilled tenderloin steak, grilled chicken and sushi-grade ahi tuna cooked over an open flame.
The first Habit Burger Grill opened in Santa Barbara, California, in 1969.
The Habit Burger Grill has since grown to over 330 restaurants in 14 state as well as 11 international locations, five in China and six in Cambodia.
The nearest Habit Burger in Bridgewater is in the Chimney Rock Crossing center at the intersection of Route 22 and Chimney Rock Road in Bridgewater.
