Haddonfield doctor accused of engaging in sexual contact with a patient

TRENTON - A Haddonfield plastic surgeon is accused of engaging in sexual contact with a patient at a North Jersey practice.

Dr. Peter V. Driscoll also allegedly watched pornography while waiting for patients to be numbed by anesthesia, among other forms of misconduct, the state Attorney General’s Office said Thursday.

License suspended

It said the State Board of Medical Examiners has temporarily suspended Driscoll’s medical license, pending a hearing on his case.

The board alleged Driscoll’s behavior, if proven, “poses a clear and imminent danger to the public.”

Driscoll has denied the allegations and has requested a hearing before an administrative law judge, according to a consent order for his suspension.

What are the accusations?

The offenses allegedly occurred from August 2021 until June 2022 at My Goals Solutions, a surgical center in Ridgefield, Bergen County, according to a statement from the Attorney General’s Office.

“He is accused of engaging in sexual contact with one patient while performing surgery on her,” the statement said.

The offense allegedly occurred after a surgical assistant left the operating room, it said.
