Today is a blessed day. Because yesterday, Aaron Rodgers, the quarterback for the Green Bay Packers decided to wear an absolutely fantastic Canadian tuxedo. A photograph of said denim tux was taken. And today, I saw that photo as a single shaft of sunlight filtered through my kitchen window, bathing me in a warm glow as a choir of angels whispered the words "bolo tie" in perfect harmony.

Truly, there is beauty in this universe.

Gaze, if you will, upon Rodgers' three separate pieces of denim apparel. Marvel, if you please, at the fact that his jacket is just a single shade darker than his jeans, which sit in eye-pleasing contrast below a powdery-blue denim shirt. Now, moving higher, rejoice! For here it is: the bolo tie. It shouldn't play! But, dear disciples of Rodgers, know this: The bolo tie plays.

And the whole ensemble is launched into the upper stratosphere with the addition of a serious mustache and a pair of aviator sunglasses. This is cosmic stuff we're dealing with. Scientists and philosophers will study this for years. I envy them. But before the Aaron Rogers Institute of Divinity and Denimology is open for matriculation, let's take a moment to understand this singular moment in the history of the universe.

Why, we must ask, is Aaron Rodgers dressed so infallibly well? The move may have some context: The Packers landed in Winnipeg, Manitoba on Wednesday for a preseason game against the Raiders Thursday evening.

Maybe the denim-on-denim-on-denim outfit is a nod to Rodgers' host city, made out of respect. Or maybe it's an outright flex: Hey, Canada. I can do your tux better than you. Perhaps it's a little bit of both. We may never know. But ours is not to understand Aaron Rodgers' glorious Canadian tuxedo. Ours is simply to see it, to love it, and to bask in that glory.
