Hail Churns Queensland Pool Amid Severe Storms

A burst of strong hail pummeled Bribie Island, north of Brisbane, on December 10, as severe storms hit parts of central and southeast Queensland.

Footage by local resident Eric Vanman shows hailstones pounding the surface of his pool.

The severe weather swept across parts of the state as a tropical cyclone formed over the Coral Sea. The weather service said the cyclone was expected to move southeast with no impact on the Australian coast or mainland. Credit: Eric Vanman via Storyful
