Hailey Baldwin and Justin Bieber’s Wedding: Everything We Know

Hailey Baldwin and Justin Bieber have legally been husband and wife since their courtroom wedding back in September 2018. But the couple held another ceremony and celebration with loved ones on September 30.

Bieber and Baldwin’s relationship has certainly had its share of ups and downs since they were first introduced by Baldwin’s father, Stephen, backstage at the Today show in 2009. They were friends, then a couple, then friends again, before getting surprise-engaged and married. And Bieber just brought their history full circle by sharing a photo of "where it all began" to Instagram this week: the two of them meeting as tweens.

Fellow celebs like Justin Timberlake and Kylie Jenner left sweet comments on the post, but it still sparked controversy among fans in the comments section. They complained that Bieber was dating Selena Gomez when he and Baldwin met and that the Instagram post was disrespectful to his ex-girlfriend.

Of course, Gomez, Bieber, and Baldwin have all long moved past the petty feuds and drama, and after reported postponements, it looks like the big day is finally happening. Baldwin and friends—including Kendall Jenner—even kicked things off with a wild bachelorette party in Los Angeles.

Here’s everything we know about the wedding so far.

The date. TMZ got their hands on what they say is a save-the-date for the ceremony, which will take place on September 30. And it definitely seems like things are underway; the couple boarded a private jet headed to South Carolina on Saturday, with Bieber even Instagramming his and his bride-to-be's transport.

The location. South Carolina, specifically the Montage Palmetto Bluff resort. TMZ reports that there is some drama at the venue, however. The hotel reportedly sent out emails to other guests, letting them know that certain areas of the property—including the spa, the pool, and one of the restaurants—would be off-limits for 48 hours, from noon Sunday until noon on Tuesday. Apparently, they’re offering some refunds, free meals, upgrades, and alternate bookings to offset the inconvenience.

Baldwin and Bieber were spotted in the area in August, perhaps doing some event planning.

“The Montage has long been like a second home to Justin,” a source revealed to People. “He many times escaped to the Montage when he needed some quiet time. They both love the Palmetto Bluff Montage.”

The rehearsal dinner. It happened Sunday, September 29, in South Carolina. Baldwin wore a custom Vivienne Westwood white dress to the occasion, while Bieber opted for a simple preppy look. Peep the photos here.

“They enjoyed local food, including an oyster roast,” a source told People and apparently guests were taken to the dinner location by speed boat.

The couple originally announced their engagement in July 2018. “Hailey I am soooo in love with everything about you!” Bieber wrote on Instagram. “So committed to spending my life getting to know every single part of you loving you patiently and kindly. I promise to lead our family with honor and integrity letting Jesus through his Holy Spirit guide us in everything we do and every decision we make.”

The ceremony. People reports that the couple said "I do" at sunset in South Carolina Monday evening (September 30) at the Somerset Chapel. Before the ceremony, guests reportedly sipped on drinks at the hotel.

The guest list. 154 friends and family members were reportedly on hand for the celebration, including Kendall Jenner, Camila Morrone, Joan Smalls, stylist Karla Welch, hairstylist Jen Atkin, and Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun.

The reception. After the ceremony, People says that guests enjoyed a cocktail hour before moving to the Wilson Ballroom for a plated dinner and a performance by Daniel Caesar. Bieber posted a photo to Instagram writing, "My bride is 🔥."

The wedding bands. On October 3, the 22-year-old model shared a close-up shot of her oval-cut diamond engagement ring stacked between two 18K wedding rings from Tiffany & Co.'s Soleste collection. According to Page Six, both the gold pavé band and the matching V-shaped sparkler feature .17 carats of diamonds and retail for $2,150 each. For his part, Bieber opted for a simple 18-karat gold band that costs just $950.

“Love my wedding band set thank you @tiffanyandco," Baldwin wrote on her Instagram Story.

Bieber also showed off his bride's new "wifey" diamond necklace that she's been wearing since her bachelorette party.

The dress. On October 7, Baldwin posted on Instagram a view of her full wedding look. The off-the-shoulder lace gown was designed by Virgil Abloh for Off-White. "@virgilabloh thank you for making my vision come to life and creating my dream dress," she wrote in the caption. "You and your @off____white team are incredible and I’m forever grateful I got to wear your beautiful creation."

And on October 11, Baldwin’s longtime stylist, Maeve Reilly, shared the first full-length photo of the model's second gown, a custom Ralph & Russo dress featuring a halter neckline, a gathered waist, and a thigh-high slit. The silhouette is reminiscent of the Stella McCartney gown Meghan Markle wore for her own wedding reception.

During the reception, Baldwin also wore a third wedding dress—a silk gown by Vera Wang that she paired with white sneakers.

Bieber appears to have worn a tux and bought himself a new watch for his wedding.

This post will be updated as details emerge.
