Hailey Bieber has shut down rumours that she is pregnant, slamming tabloid speculation about her personal life.

Over the weekend, the star took to her Instagram Stories to shoot down American outlet Us Weekly over a story they were allegedly planning to run, directing a post directly at them.

"Since I know you guys were about to break your lil story @usweekly," she wrote, "I'm not pregnant. So please stop writing false stories from your sources and focus on what's important AKA the election."

Hailey married Justin Bieber in 2018, with a second ceremony taking place last year. In the latest issue of Vogue Italia (translated by Entertainment Tonight) she talked about the possibility of starting a family.

“The strange thing is that I've always wanted to have children early," the 23-year old said, "but now that I'm married, I feel less of an urge. I am an ambitious girl with many projects. It will happen, but not now."

In that same interview, Justin said that the two were still spending their time getting to know each other more intimately.

Earlier this year, Justin slammed trolls who were criticising his appearance, stating: "While a lot of people kept saying Justin Bieber looks like shit, [is] on meth etc.

"They failed to realize I've been recently diagnosed with Lyme disease, not only that but had a serious case of chronic mono which affected my, skin, brain function, energy, and overall health."
