Rock & Roll Hall of Fame guitarist Carlos Santana will kick off his North American tour in the Tri-Cities next spring.

The guitarist and his band Santana will hit the road on the “Blessings and Miracles” tour, starting March 25 at the Toyota Center in Kennewick.

Tickets go on sale to the general public Dec. 10.

Over the 15-date run — which extends from the Pacific Northwest to the Great Lakes region, and north into Canada — Santana will perform high-energy, passion-filled songs from the band’s 50-year career.

Those songs include fan favorites from the 1969 Woodstock music festival to Santana’s “Supernatural” studio album.

The band, which features Santana’s wife, Cindy Blackman Santana, on drums, will also perform songs from their 2021 release, “Blessings and Miracles.”

The tour’s inaugural show is scheduled for 8 p.m. Friday, March 25, with venue doors opening at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at santana.com and ticketmaster.com.

After the Tri-Cities, the band will head to Boise and Eugene, Oregon, then north to Canada, before returning to Spokane on April 3 as they move across the Midwest.

The tour wraps April 16 in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.

Promotional material sent to the Tri-City Herald describes Santana’s latest release as “one of the most ambitious, inspired and flat-out magical records of his storied career.”

The album’s features include guest artists Rob Thomas, Chris Stapleton, G-Eazy, American Authors, Ally Brooke, Steve Winwood and the late Chick Corea.

“For more than four decades — from Santana’s earliest days as a groundbreaking Afro-Latin-blues-rock fusion outfit in San Francisco — Carlos has been the visionary force behind artistry that transcends musical genres and generational, cultural and geographical boundaries,” the release said.

Santana has won 10 Grammy Awards and three Latin Grammys, with a record-tying nine Grammys for a single project — 1999’s “Supernatural,” which included Album of the Year and Record of the Year.

Santana is one of only two bands to have an album reach the Top 10 in every decade since the 1960s.
