Lacey Chabert is feeling support from fellow working moms this back-to-school season.

After her latest Hallmark movie, Groundswell, premiered earlier this month, the actress returned to set for a new project. According to Lacey’s IMDB, she’s currently working on the crime drama film Acre Beyond the Rye, starring James Caan and Lance Henriksen. Amid working on the upcoming film, the Mean Girls alum revealed that her 5-year-old daughter, Julia, officially started school.

Unfortunately, Lacey wasn’t able to be with Julia on her first day. Still, Lacey felt strengthened by the friendship of other working moms on set. “Unexpected kindness. Does it mean the world to you too?” she captioned a picture of a bouquet with a note. “We’re having the best time on this movie, but my mama-heart was hurting that I wasn’t able to be with Julia on her very first day of school.”

Lacey continued: “We Facetime nonstop, and she’s in the best hands with my husband and sister, but of course I still feel terrible that I’m not there. I do my best to work my schedule around such special days, but sometimes it just can’t be avoided.”

“So today I walked into my trailer and found this from my new friends in the wardrobe department. 😭,” she concluded. “My heart was SO touched. Nothing like the support of others when you need it most. Thank you, ladies!”

Lacey’s Instagram photo includes pink and white flowers in a red mason jar. A note accompanying the arrangement reads: “Lacey, from a department of moms to a wonderful mom, you’ve got this! Stay strong. We love you.”

Reacting to the heartwarming Instagram, Hallmark fans showed up for the actress with their own words of encouragement in the comments section. “😍😍😍😍💗💗💗 all working mothers understand the conflict. so sweet of your Mom crew, and you are an awesome Mom,” one person wrote. “That is seriously the sweetest thing! I love that they thought of you in this way! Hang in there mama! ❤️,” another added. “We’ve been there and totally relate. You are doing your best and also showing Julia that you are pursuing your dreams and she can too,” a different fan said.

As folks may know, Lacey shares Julia with her husband, David Nehdar. According to reports, the two started off as friends before dating for several years. Lacey and David then reportedly got married in December 2013. Fast forward, the couple welcomed Julia on September 1, 2016.

“We named her after my mom,” she told People. “My mother and I have always had a very close relationship, so I wanted to honor my mom by naming my daughter Julia as well.”
