Hallowe’en in Greenfield Village tradition returns for fall thrills: When to buy tickets

For those witching to have some fun this fall, Greenfield Village’s Halloween tradition just might be a spooktacular fit, and tickets are about to go on sale.

According to The Henry Ford website, Hallowe’en in Greenfield Village offers over 16 evenings of family fun for those of all ages, allowing visitors to go at their own pace and embrace the festive atmosphere.

For those with memberships, ticket sales begin on Aug. 30 at a discounted price while tickets become available to the public on Sept. 6.

Included in the ticket cost are admission and access to various activities within the village. Daytime hours are more kid-friendly with harvest markets and fall-themed activities and performances. In the evening, the atmosphere transitions into a spookier one with nostalgic experiences.

Common experiences featured at the event include an illuminated jack-o-lantern path, free horse-drawn carriage rides, numerous characters in costume like the Grim Reaper, and activities from the 18th and 19th centuries like wool dyeing and corn husk crafts.

Food and drinks will also be available for purchase throughout. Additionally, individuals can add on a Hallowe’en Express train experience for $3.

Ticket prices are:

  • General Admission (ages 12+): Members pay $23 per ticket. The public pays $27 per ticket.

  • Seniors (62+): Member admission is $20.75 per ticket. The public pays $24.25.

  • Youth (ages 2-11): Tickets cost $17.25 for members. Non-members pay $20.25.

  • Children (below 2): Free admission.

There are also ticket options available with additional add-ons such as the Fairy Tale Feast Dining Package and the Eagle Tavern Harvest Supper Dining Package. Ticket prices fluctuate from those listed above.

Hallowe’en in Greenfield Village will run from 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 5-8, 12-15, 19-22, and 26-29.
