Halloween is the perfect chance to abandon the rules, dress up, leave the ~real~ world behind and indulge in fantasy. Which Halloween activity will appeal to and excite your star sign this month?

Taurus: Limited Edition Snack-a-thon

Food is life for Taureans. You love cooking, snacking, dining, reviewing and reading all about yummy meals, restaurants and ingredients. At Halloween, pretty much every retailer and brand brings out some kind of limited edition item and I set YOU the challenge, Taurus, of trying them! Make this a ‘gram thing. Hashtag your way through those goodies, reviewing and ranking them.

Gemini: Automatic Writing

In the Victorian era, Halloween was seen as a time to talk to spirits, because the veils between worlds are thinnest. You can do this by using the technique of automatic writing (and, being ruled by Mercury, you are a GREAT writer!). Sit quietly in the dark. Have a pen and pad to hand, and then close your eyes and relax. Tune out the conscious world, and ask for a message from beyond. Let your hand move freely and write / doodle / scribble whatever comes through you. Do this for 10 minutes, then wake up and see what you got!

Pisces: Psychic Night

You are ruled by Neptune, and drawn to all things esoteric. The idea of visiting a psychic or even holding your own little psychic night sounds perf. Get out the oracle cards, download a guided meditation or even past life regression, charge up your crystals, and look into some simple spells. Halloween is the best time of year to explore your emerging psychic skills (which you DO have, in abundance).

Leo: Live Shows

Rocky Horror Picture Show? The Woman In Black? Vampires Live? Yes, there are a multitude of live entertainment shows, plays and pop-up theatre events cropping up at this time of year and, dahling, you ADORE the stage! Better yet, Leo, why not try out for a supporting role yourself? You’re a natural born performer, and you can command an audience.

Capricorn: Scary Escape Room

Escape rooms appeal to you all year round, because you love solving puzzles and have an agile, problem-solving brain. For Halloween, turn up the adrenalin by trying a scary one. Maybe there’s an escaped convict tracking you down, or you’re exploring a haunted castle, or trying to stop the world ending by cracking a nerve-wracking puzzle code. Put your wits (and nerves) to the test!

Libra: Love Fortunes

The Victorians believed Halloween was the perfect time to party and get their love fortunes told (what a Libra-esque combo of delights). Look in the mirror, in the candlelight, and ask to see your future true love. Peel an apple and throw the peelings on the floor, revealing the initial of your true love. There are a lot of Victorian love fortune techniques, read up and try them all!

Scorpio: Dumb Supper

You are attracted to what lies beneath, the unseen, the mysteries of the world. Following the Celtic Samhain tradition of holding a dumb supper will tick your boxes. The idea is to have a dinner party where places are laid for people who have passed on. You may invite them in by cooking their fave dishes, or putting mementoes on the table. Then, eat in silence, and tune it to whomever has ~joined~ you for dinner…

Aries: Late Night Theme Park trip

Most theme parks stay open later around Halloween, and even add horror mazes (YIKES), so you get to go on the thrill rides IN THE DARK. Take the adrenalin factor up to 11. Aries, you love nothing better than getting your blood pumping, and Halloween theme parks are kinda designed for that very purpose. Go every night!

Sagittarius: Horror Mazes

To many people, the thought of being chased by slobbering, bloodthirsty zombies (or ghosts, aliens, weird pumpkin-head people, or whatever trick they’ve got up their sleeves) is not a ~good night out~. To you, Sag, however, this is LIFE. Blowing off steam by running around screaming is what you like doing, and Halloween is the perfect excuse.

Virgo: Countdown calendar

Sometimes you enjoy the anticipation and preparation for big events more than the actual ~thing~ itself, such is your enjoyment of organising. Getting a Halloween Countdown Calendar will help you savour the whole Halloween season, and keep you on track with your macabre preparations. It’s all about the build up!

Cancer: Horror Movie Marathon

You like spending time with yours truly, and enjoy setting aside special ~me time~ activities. A whole evening, getting cosy and comfortable, watching your fave horrors sounds like the perfect way to spend an autumn evening. You can snack, snooze, squeal and shiver on your own clock, to your own beat. You’re a natural night owl, so staying up super late is no probs.

Aquarius: Debunking Ghosts

You are a science superstar and love facts, experiments, technology and generally getting to the real truth of things. Debunking a haunting appeals to you, so get your thermometer, camera, and thermos and head to someplace reportedly haunted to see what you find, feel and see. Look up how to test what else might be causing something seemingly spooky, and launch your own real-life experiment. You will enjoy every minute of this. Who knows, you might even get a scare! (obvs, Aquarius, go someplace you have permission to be at, or is public space).
