Target’s Hyde and Eek! Boutique is full of must-have Halloween items that will make the holiday even more spooky. But one of our favorite things about the collection is that it includes adaptive Halloween costumes that are made for children with disabilities. How cool is that?

Some kids use a wheelchair or a walker, or have a disability that makes wearing a typical costume not possible. Some of the costumes, like the unicorn and shark, have flat seams and no tags so they are sensory-friendly. Others, like the princess and pirate, have openings in the back so they’re comfortable for kids in wheelchairs.

To complete the costume, there are wheelchair covers to turn a kid’s wheels into a magical carriage or ship. All of the adaptive Halloween costumes and accessories are available for preorder at Target now, and prices range from $20 to $45.

We have to applaud Target for this step in the inclusive direction. We hope other retailers will follow suit so that everyone can enjoy Halloween!
