In the horror genre, the most gruesome serial killers never stay dead – and that's definitely the case with Halloween's Michael Myers.

The psycho killer's co-creator, horrormaster John Carpenter, has shared the big news that he'll be back to terrorise Haddonfield once again in two more sequels. There's even already a very creepy teaser.

The first of those, Halloween Kills, will be arriving on October 16, 2020, and will be followed almost exactly one year later on October 15, 2021 by Halloween Ends.

But Michael Myers isn't coming back alone.

"The saga of Michael Myers and Laurie Strode isn't over," Carpenter tweeted.

That's right, the biggest horror grudge match is headed for a rematch when Jamie Lee Curtis reprises her role as Michael Myers's sole surviving original victim Laurie Strode.

Curtis's involvement is bound to be exciting for Halloween fans, since she admitted shortly after the last film's release that she was unsure about coming back for a sequel.

"I would make an assumption that, if David Gordon Green has a story to tell, that the people involved with the movie would encourage him to tell it," she told EW at the time.

"I haven't been told whether or not he has a story to tell and whether or not he would include Laurie Strode in the telling. Really, time will tell. I know David is a busy guy."

Turns out she was right – Michael Myers will strike again.

Also returning for the sequel will be producer Jason Blum, co-writer Danny McBride, co-writer and director David Gordon Green, as well as John Carpenter, of course.
