Halloween weather in South Florida: Cold front likely to bring storms, then ‘very pleasant’ weekend

A Halloween weekend cold front is creeping toward South Florida.

Severe thunderstorms could continue Friday, ushering in really nice weather for Saturday and Sunday, just in time for trick-or-treating.

You might even need long sleeves for the evenings.

“The strongest cold front of the ever-so-young fall season is on approach to the stifling Sunshine State,” declared a forecast discussion posted online by the Miami-South Florida office of the National Weather Service.

After highs in the upper 80s on Friday across South Florida, daytime highs will drop to the lower 80s on Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday should be partly sunny during the day and clear at night.

Sunday should be sunny during the day and clear at night.

“A very pleasant Halloween weekend is in store! No trick here, just treat,” local forecasters tweeted.

The nighttime hours will bring pleasantly cool temperatures, with lows in the 70s on Friday night.

On Saturday and Sunday nights, temperatures will drop into the 60s.
