These Halo face masks are funding doctors and frontline workers
There’s a new line of Halo face masks and all the proceeds will go towards crafting PPE for healthcare workers.
Apparel brand Meta Threads has partnered with Microsoft to produce officially licensed Halo masks to support its #GamersMask4Mask campaign. All sales are being donated to Masks For Docs, a PPE organization for frontline workers which covers a variety of items including eye-shields, gowns and soap.

The money for every mask sold by Meta Threads will go towards producing two masks for medical personnel and frontline workers, according to the item listing on Meta Threads site. The Halo mask is FDA-approved, reusable and washable by hand.
When the World Health Organization officially declared COVID-19 as a global pandemic on March 11, several game companies moved quickly to help. Min-Liang Tan, CEO of Razer, announced that the hardware manufacturer had already converted some of its production lines on March 19 to ship out 1 million surgical masks.
Many other companies and prominent figures in gaming followed and among them was 343 Industries, the development studio behind Halo. On April 8, the developer announced a limited edition t-shirt sale (which was also a partnership with Meta Threads) to assist with COVID-19 relief efforts. In two days, the company raised $200,000 in donations.

343 itself has been struggling under the pandemic. Halo Infinite was one of the most hotly anticipated games of 2020 and a massive launch title for the upcoming Xbox Series X. But on August 11, 343 announced that the game has been delayed to 2021.
