'Halo' Live-Action Series Debuts New Poster Showcasing Master Chief's Epic Suit

Paramount+ has shared a new official poster for its upcoming live-action Halo series, which is based on the highly-popular Xbox gaming franchise.

The upcoming series' official Twitter account shared the new imagery on Tuesday, showcasing an all-new look at Pablo Schreiber's Master Chief in his suit. The imagery also reveals that the official trailer for the series will arrive this Sunday.

"Suit up Spartans, the wait is almost over," the post reads. "The official trailer for #HaloTheSeries lands this Sunday during halftime of the AFC Championship Game on @CBS and @ParamountPlus."

The series will "take place in the universe that first came to be in 2001 with the launch of Xbox(R)’s first Halo game,” according to the synopsis. “Dramatizing an epic 26th-century conflict between humanity and an alien threat known as the Covenant, Halo the series will weave deeply drawn personal stories with action, adventure and a richly imagined vision of the future.”

Aside from Schreiber, the cast also includes Natascha McElhone, Jen Taylor, Bokeem Woodbine, Shabana Azmi, Natasha Culzac, Olive Gray, Yerin Ha, Bentley Kalu, Kate Kennedy, Charlie Murphy and Danny Sapani.

There is currently no release date for Halo, though the series will stream exclusively on Paramount+ sometime this year.

Elsewhere in entertainment, Dwayne Johnson is working on a film adaptation of "one of the biggest, most badass games."
