Hamburg church to host community choir concert [Religion Digest]

May 27----Spring's Last Fling Community Choir Concert will be held on June 4 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Church and Pine streets, Hamburg, at 2 p.m. Music will be presented by the St. John's Chancel Choir and Blue Mountain Heritage Chorus. A free will offering will be taken. Refreshments will be served after the concert.

—St. Paul's United Church of Christ Guild, 5 W. Arch St., Fleetwood, will hold a rummage sale on Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and next Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon in the social room, along with an indoor flea market on the second floor.

—Calvary United Church of Christ, 1231 Route 100, Washington Township, will hold an indoor and outdoor flea market and 25-cent sale next Saturday from 8-11 a.m. Vendor spaces are available for $10. —Schwarzwald Lutheran Church, 250 Church Lane Road, Exeter Township, will have in-person worship with Memorial Day recognition and Holy Communion on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in the sanctuary. The Mount Laurel Brass Quintet will play.

—On Sunday at Christ Episcopal Church, 435 Court St., Reading, Janet Lamborn will present "Growing Up in Reading Friends Monthly Meeting and Becoming Clerk" at 9 a.m. in the first-floor parlor. Parking is available at the Abe Lincoln Hotel parking garage and in the M&T Bank lot, both located off of Washington Street. Handicap accessible parking is available beside the church on Court Street. At the end of the 10 a.m. service in the sanctuary, there will be a dedication of a painting by Barbara Thun called "The Shape of Grace," which the artist gifted to the church. A special hymn with original lyrics by Fr. Bryce Wandrey will be sung.

—Zion's Spies Evangelical Reformed Church, 318 Spies Church Rd, Alsace Township, will have Sunday School at 9 a.m. and worship at 10:30 a.m., with the message "The Theology of the Battle Hymn of the Republic."
