The Hamburg Family Fun Fest happening now until Saturday. Don't miss it!

HAMBURG TWP. — Celebrating its 16th year, the Hamburg Family Fun Fest kicked off Wednesday and will run until Saturday this week at Bennett Park on Merrill Road in Hamburg Township.

The festival opens at noon Thursday, 2 p.m. Friday and noon Saturday. The only cost for families is a $5 parking fee per car or to purchase an armband for carnival rides. Armbands are available for $25 Thursday, and $30 Friday and Saturday at the event.

Throughout the four-day festival, there will be an arts and crafts business expo from noon to 7 p.m. Thursday, 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and noon to 8 p.m. Saturday.

Also from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, there will be a classic and custom car show. During the festival there will be family entertainment, including a petting zoo, banana derby (trained monkeys riding dogs), crazy zombie paintball, a magic show, a zombie thrill show, BMX stunt show, timber art chainsaw carving, children's theater and youth archery.

Additionally, each day at 6 p.m. there will be a ticket drawn to win a bike. For evening entertainment, the Saline Fiddlers will play for audiences from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday. Also, at 10 p.m., on Friday and Saturday there will be a laser light show and fireworks in West Park.
