Along with the return of the musical “Hamilton” to Chicago is its #HAM4HAM ticket lottery.

According to an announcement Thursday from show producer Jeffrey Seller and Broadway in Chicago — the presenter of the national tour’s upcoming fall production in the Loop — a digital lottery of discounted $10 tickets will be available for every performance.

“Hamilton” will play Sept. 13 to Dec. 30 at the Nederlander Theatre (24 W. Randolph St.), with regular tickets now on sale at www.broadwayinchicago.com. The musical by Lin-Manuel Miranda about Founding Father Alexander Hamilton was last in town for a 3½-year run at Broadway in Chicago’s CIBC Theatre on Monroe Street, concluding Jan. 5, 2020. That production also had a digital ticket lottery, and also spawned a related museum exhibition on Northerly Island.

Here’s how it works:

  • A limited number of $10 tickets will be made available for performances, beginning with the first on Sept. 13.

  • Entries will open at 10 a.m. Sept. 1 and close at noon Sept. 7 for tickets to performances Sept. 13-17. Subsequent lotteries will begin at 10 a.m. Fridays and close the following Thursdays at noon, for the next week’s performances.

  • Enter via the “Hamilton” app (hamiltonmusical.com).

  • Notifications will be sent between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Thursdays for the next week’s performances via email and mobile notification. Winners will have two hours to claim and pay for their ticket(s).

  • Each winning entrant may purchase up to two tickets. Only one entry per person. Repeat entries and disposable email addresses will be discarded. Patrons must be age 18+ and have a valid photo ID. Tickets are nontransferable.

  • Purchased tickets will be available at will-call at the Nederlander box office two hours prior to the performance.
