Watkins is the recipient of numerous scholarships, including the Agriculture Future of America Scholarship. She earned an FFA American Degree, a distinction achieved by less than 2 percent of FFA members. She was selected through a competitive process to participate as a delegate in Agriculture Future of America.

Watkins has been active both on and off campus with organizations such as the Agricultural Communicators, Educators and Leaders of Tomorrow Club, for which she served as a reporter; Ohio State ATI Ambassador; resident adviser; Ohio Farm Bureau; Agriculture Future of America, for which she served as ambassador; Crusades of Christ; Wooster Bible Church; Westwood Bible Church; and Reckoning Agriculture International.

Watkins will complete a summer-long internship with Camp Chautauqua to pursue ministry further. Upon returning, she has been offered a position with Reckoning Agriculture International as a volunteer to work through various farm manuals. Her ambition is to reside in Zanesville or a location that combines her calling for ministry and love for agriculture.
