Hannibal man dies in Tuesday morning crash

Nov. 8—A Hannibal, Missouri, man died in a single-vehicle accident on Tuesday morning near Wheeling.

The crash occurred in Livingston County on U.S. Highway 36 at the Medicine Creek Bridge just before 11 a.m., according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

Charles Bieber, 33, was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Camaro three miles west of Wheeling, Missouri, when the vehicle went off the left side of the road and struck the end of a guardrail.

Bieber was ejected when the car became airborne and began to overturn after striking an embankment. The vehicle came to rest in Medicine Creek on its top and Bieber was pronounced dead at the scene just after noon, according to the crash report.

Bieber was transported to the Lindley Funeral Home by the Livingston County Coroner. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, according to the crash report.
