HAPPENING NOW: Magna house fire, stay clear of area

UPDATE, 12:01 P.M.: New information on Saturday morning’s house fire in Magna has been released.

Unified Fire officials said the fire was reported at around 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 18. Crews arrived to the scene and “swiftly started an offensive interior attack,” a release states.

The home was reportedly unoccupied, though four dogs and five chickens were found in the backyard — those animals were uninjured, and animal control has since taken them into possession.

“Fire is under investigation and a dollar amount is still being considered,” the release states.

No injuries occurred as a result of this fire, officials said.

ORIGINAL POST: MAGNA, Utah (ABC4) — A house fire is currently underway in Magna, according to Unified Fire Authority.

Officials said the fire is happening at the 2800 West block of 9100 South.
