What’s happening in St. George: Local businesses offer classes both artful and practical
The holidays have come and gone, but there is still plenty to do in and around southwestern Utah this week.
Every week, we pick out some of the most interesting events scheduled in the St. George area, and this week, local businesses are offering classes on painting, cooking, and a chance to bring back ’80s nostalgia.

’80s Night
Taphouse Hive 435 is hosting an “’80s night” where locals can dress up in nostalgic ’80s-themed attire. There will be drink specials and ’80s-themed music to dance to.

Steak Night Class
Steak enthusiasts can spice up their game with BBQ Pit Stop’s Steak Night Class. Steak Cookoff Association champion Nate Benson will be teaching locals how to cook the perfect steak in both comp and backyard styles. No competitive experience is required.

Paint the Music Night
ART Provides, a local art gallery and event space, hosts a music and paint night series. Community members can come and listen to music that inspires them to paint. Tom Bennett, a country/blues-style musician, will perform at ART Provides. Materials are provided and no experience is necessary.
