Happening today: Food, diaper giveaway for Orlando residents reeling from Hurricane Ian
Several local organizations have teamed up for a Hurricane Ian relief event on Wednesday morning.
Orlando residents impacted by the storm will be able to pick up baby supplies, food boxes and limited amounts of water starting at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the Dr. James R. Smith Center.

Orlando Commissioner Bakari Burns teamed up with the Central Florida Diaper Bank, Second Harvest Food Bank, Equal Ground, and OUC to pull together resources for the event.

“While some in our community have returned to normal activities, many haven’t and still need help,” Burns said. “So, my office has partnered with local organizations that can assist, like the Central Florida Diaper Bank and Second Harvest. We’re grateful these groups jumped in so quickly to help, and we look forward to continuing to serve our community.”
The giveaway is first-come, first-served, and supplies are limited.
