Tom Brady, the ageless wonder, is celebrating his 43rd birthday on Monday. It’s his first as a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In fact, it’s his first as a member of any NFL team besides the New England Patriots. Quite the landmark!
You might think that it would be hard to get a guy like Brady a good birthday gift. After all, he’s already made over $235 million during his 20-year career, and is in line for another $50 million from his two-year contract with the Bucs. Doesn’t he have everything?
Apparently he does not. An eagle-eyed fan caught a stunning detail hidden in an Instagram story Brady posted over the weekend.

Tom Brady is still rocking an iPhone 6+, which was released six years ago.
Fans lose it over Brady’s outdated tech
Twitter was understandably blown away by Brady’s old iPhone, and the jokes were plentiful.
Man if only Kraft had given Brady a new IPhone 11 we’d still have the goat 🐐 https://t.co/dVIOQDA4ed

Cashing in on that new @boostmobile deal. TB knows how to stretch a budget.

Using the facts, Brady having an iPhone 6+ doesn’t even make sense. How could he still have a six-year-old iPhone if he destroys his phone every eight months, as he claimed during Deflategate?
Brady, who has shown a remarkable ability to laugh at himself since joining Twitter in April 2019, once again was in on the joke when he tweeted on Monday morning.
Thank you for the bday wishes!! Might treat myself to a new iPhone this year... https://t.co/x2cvb2wJNG

Perhaps Brady will find a bright, shiny new iPhone 11 among his birthday gifts this year. Or if going from a 6 to an 11 is too big a technological jump for him, maybe ease him in with an iPhone 7 or 8.
