Happy (almost) Fall, Clarksville! Fall is only days away and people are gearing up to celebrate cooler weather, the leaves changing colors and the start of the holidays.

Whether you're looking for something haunted or just a nice time outside to enjoy the fall weather and colors, there is a little bit of everything in Montgomery County. Here are some can't miss events for the season.

Oktoberfest

The 7th annual Oktoberfest is here. The Star Spangled Brewing Co said that is set to be "even bigger and better with free admission, Live polka band all weekend" according to their website. With games, tons of German food, live music and stein holding competitions,

You can purchase a stein, stein with fill of Oktoberfest beer or VIP tickets ahead of the weekend long festival at TheStarSpangledBrewingCo.com.

Mix & Sip

Ever wanted to take a mixology class, or been invited to a party and had no idea what to bring? What a better time to learn than right before the holidays?

During this class, an experienced mixologist will teach you how to make three fall cocktails, served with appetizers and dessert. You can get tickets for the mixology class here.

When: Thursday, Sept. 28, 2023, from 6 to 8 p.m.

R & P Haunted Farm

Start your Halloween season with a haunted hayride at R&P Farm. If you aren't interested in the haunted hayride, there will be concessions, vendors, music and a bonfire for everyone to enjoy.

Jazz on the Lawn

Live music, wine and food trucks are still on the schedule as Beachaven Vineyards and Winery finishes their Jazz on the Lawn. With only two Saturdays left to enjoy, fall is the perfect time to be outside and enjoy live music.

The first band will play from 3 to 5 p.m. and the second playing from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Here's who'll be performing in September and October.

  • Sept. 30: Clarksville Jazz Collective and South Street Players

  • Oct. 28: Harold Dawson and Tina Brown

Halloween favorites at the Roxy Regional Theatre

This year, the Roxy Theatre is celebrating Halloween with the return of Planters Bank Presents... by showing a different movie every Sunday in the month of October.

Here's the schedule for movies you can look forward to this fall:

  • Ghostbuster, 1984

    • Sunday, Oct. 8, 2023 at 2 p.m.

  • The Cabin in the Woods, 2012

    • Sunday, Oct. 15, 2023 at 2 p.m.

  • Clue, 1985

    • Sunday, Oct. 22, 2023 at 2 p.m.

  • Hocus Pocus, 1993

    • Sunday, Oct. 29, 2023, at 2 p.m.

Ghoulish Gala

Get your best masquerade mask and costume ready for the annual Ghoulish Gala. Before entering the gala, the night of fun and glamour starts with a red carpet.

Clarksville Halloween Market

The 2nd annual Halloween Market is coming up in less than a month. With more than 60 vendors, food trucks and a Trunk or Treat, there is enough fun to keep the family entertained.

Trunk or Treat hosted by the Clarksville Gearhead Car Club from 4 to 6 p.m.

The VFW Auxiliary Post 11160 is hosting a trunk or treat this year, just in time for Halloween. So dress up your kids and bring them down for some early Halloween fun!

Halloween Canvas Creation

Time for a new painting in the house? Or what to add to your fall decor? What better way than your own painting. Whether you already paint or this is your first time picking up a paint brush, this event is the perfect time to tap into your creative space.

According to the Clarksville Parks and Recreation department this session, lead by Janay Moreland, "offers a creative, therapeutic session that targets participant's emotional well-being."

Registration is open until Oct. 9, 2023 with Clarksville Parks and Recreation department here..

Fall Festival in Rotary Park

Montgomery County Parks and Recreation at Rotary Park is celebrating their third annual Fall Festival this year.

Trick-or-treating, pumpkin painting, food truck are some of the things you'll get at this year's Fall Festival. Sponsored by Fortera Credit Union, this family-friendly event is open and free to the public.

If you're interested in having a trick or treat station, you can apply with the Montgomery County Parks and Rec.

When: Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Backstage Costumes at the Roxy Regional Theatre

Backstage Costumes, a full-service costume shop, has opened just in time for Halloween.

The shop has various inventory of rental costumes, costumes for purchase, accessories, stage makeup and more. You can find themed items such as superhero to retro, mascots, tuxedos and more than 1,000 sequined gowns.

Backstage Costumes is open Monday- Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Boyd's Pumpkin Patch

Nothing says fall quite like pumpkins. Whether your picking a pumpkin to paint, carve into a jack-o-lattern or to cook the seeds, finding the perfect pumpkin is part of the fun.

Boyd's has the perfect place to go on a nice fall day for a fall family photo, corn maze and, of course, the pumpkins. Boyd's opens for the season on Friday, Sept. 2023 and will be open daily weather permitting.
