Happy Hour: Novak's Tavern & Patio a fun place to go with a great view, discounted drinks
Happy hours are all the rage now, as people try to find more places to gather for discounted drinks and food.
Novak's Tavern & Patio not only has discounted drinks, but also an extended happy hour timeframe. For two months, The Dispatch has been recommending popular happy hours for you around the city. Last week, we featured Milestone 229, which has discounted food, drinks and a good view.

This week we are on North High Street looking at Novak's Tavern & Patio, which has a strong discounted drink menu, but also extends its happy hour to 8 p.m., while many other places end between 6-7 p.m.

Novak's Tavern & Patio
Where: 475 N. High St., Arena District
When: Novak's Tavern & Patio opens at 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and its happy hour goes until 8 p.m. The extended hours makes for a terrific happy hour option.
Menu: Novak's happy hour menu isn't deep and doesn't have appetizers or entrees, but it will knock off $1 off the drink menu. Those drinks exclude house daily specials, but among the specials: a Lemon Shakeup, made with Tito's vodka, simple syrup and fresh lemon. There's also the Maker's 46 Old Fashioned, a popular drink on the menu, along with six house cocktails.
