Harbor Freight store headed to College Plaza in Alliance
A Harbor Freight Tools store will open soon in College Plaza in Alliance.
Harbor Freight sells tools at a low price. Officials said in a news release that the store, at 1400 E. State St., is expected to open this summer. The release said the exact date will be announced later.

Construction already has begun at the location, and company officials say they are using local workers and companies “from the surrounding Alliance area.”
“We’ve been looking to open a location in Alliance for a number of years so that we can provide the tools and equipment at tremendous values to the community,” said Trey Feiler, senior vice president of real estate and construction for Harbor Freight Tools. “In addition to finding a great location, we were attracted by the availability of great associates in the Alliance area, and we look forward to having them join the Harbor Freight team.”
Company officials said in the news release that they expect to hire 25 to 30 people to work there. The release said jobs will include sales and logistic supervisors, senior associates and sales associates, along with seasonal employees.
Harbor Freight has another store in Stark County, at 2901 Whipple Ave. NW in Jackson Township. Other nearby stores are in New Philadelphia, Boardman, Streetsboro and Cuyahoga Falls. Check out a list of locations on the Harbor Freight website, harborfreight.com.
