Willowbrook Plaza in Coldwater recently got much busier. Harbor Freight Tools opened next to Big Lots and is drawing customers.

Store hours are 8 a.m.- 8 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday at 73 N. Willowbrook Road, Coldwater.

Coldwater is the 43rd Harbor Freight Tools store in Michigan. The company hires locally and brought 25-30 new jobs to the surrounding community.

Harbor Freight Tools opened in 1977 as a Southern California based mail-order company. It is owned and led by founder Eric Smidt.

Customers from professional contractors and technicians to homeowners and hobbyists, come to Harbor Freight to find the tools and equipment they need to get the job done, said Edward Smutny, Coldwater store manager.

“Our team is ready to serve and deliver value to customers in Coldwater and all of Branch County,” Smutny said. “At Harbor Freight we recognize that now, more than ever, our customers depend on us for the tools they need to get the job done at an affordable price.”

They stock a full selection of tools and equipment in categories including automotive, air and power tools, storage, outdoor power equipment, generators, welding supplies, shop equipment, hand tools and more.
