Harbor High School graduates nine students

Jun. 10—Nine Harbor High School graduates received their diplomas in a unique ceremony in the school's parking lot on North Williams Street in Aberdeen on Tuesday evening.

Students and families sat in and around their vehicles in the parking lot in front of the school. The soon-to-be graduates gathered for a group photo, then marched to the traditional Pomp and Circumstance around the parked vehicles before returning to their own.

School counselors then introduced each graduate, saying a little something about their experience with them, before calling them forward to receive flowers, their diplomas from Principal David Glasier, and ring the school's bell, a longstanding tradition at the school.

Graduates who participated, some of whom were awarded scholarships, are as follows: Trinity Leda Marie Anderson (College Bound Scholarship); Makayla Renee Dollarhyde (College Bound Scholarship); Madison R. Edwards; Kimberly Ixcoy Pu (Rotary Scholarship); Kieley Kay King (World Class Scholars, Grays Harbor Foundation Scholarship, Kelsey Foundation Scholarship, Seabrook Community Foundation Scholarship); Connor Mottinger (College Bound Scholarship); Kylie A. Murphy; Baylie Autumn Palmer (College Bound Scholarship); and Brianna D. Reames (College Bound Scholarship).
