Harbor House announces 2023 Paws for Peace calendar contest

Think your pet has what it takes to be a calendar model?

Then now is the time to enter Harbor House of Central Florida’s Paws for Peace calendar contest.

Between now and midnight on Nov. 30, 2022, proud pet owners can enter their precious pets for a chance to be on the cover of the 2023 Paws for Peace Calendar.

Entry into the contest costs $15 and it’s $1 per vote.

The top 12 pets that receive the most votes will be featured on each month of the calendar and the pet with the most votes will also appear on the cover.

The calendar contest benefits the Paws for Peace Kennel at Harbor House.

Calendars are available to purchase in late December/early January and can be picked up at the Harbor House outreach office in Orland for $10 or can be shipped for $13.

According to Harbor House, 48% of domestic violence survivors delay leaving an abusive situation for fear their pets will be harmed, and 88% of pets living in domestic violence homes are abused.

Since opening in 2012, over 380 pets have been safely housed in the Paws for Peace Kennel.
