BROCKTON, Mass. (AP) _ HarborOne Bancorp Inc. (HONE) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter earnings of $17.6 million.

The bank, based in Brockton, Massachusetts, said it had earnings of 33 cents per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 22 cents per share.

The bank holding company posted revenue of $74.9 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $69.9 million, also surpassing Street forecasts.

For the year, the company reported profit of $44.8 million, or 82 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $259.2 million.

HarborOne Bancorp shares have fallen nearly 4% since the beginning of the year. The stock has dropped almost 6% in the last 12 months.
