The Charlotte area has no shortage of schools to choose from, but the academic profile needed to get in varies by institution. And some schools are more selective than others, whether you’re applying for early acceptance or regular decision admission.
Here’s what to know about acceptance rates and academic profiles at Charlotte’s universities:
Johnson C. Smith University
Acceptance rate: 45%, per U.S. News & World Report

Academic profile: Not listed, but the HBCU considers “SAT and/or ACT along with high school GPA and other factors such as activities, achievements, and your personal story” in admissions decisions.
Johnson & Wales University - Charlotte
