Some things never die, including the Savannah Bananas' love for the limelight and certain viral dance trends.

The traveling baseball team that has a ball playing baseball is renowned on social media for its outlandish and entertaining antics. The latest one brought back the top dance from the summer of 2013: the Harlem Shake.

The Bananas are on their Banana Ball World Tour, spending April 14 entertaining fans in Columbus, Georgia. Malachi Mitchell stepped up to bat with "Harlem Shake" by Baauer playing. In the now viral video, the camera follows Mitchell to the plate, then shows him and the Bananas dugout breaking out in the iconic dance.

The Bananas posted the video on Twitter at 9 a.m. Thursday. By 10 p.m., it had 18,000 likes and was played nearly 680,000 times.

Twitter reacts to Malachi Mitchell's Harlem Shake

Mitchell, a Gainesville High and Florida A&M alum, was living it up on Twitter.

Mitchell made a few fans with his starring role.

He made sure to let doubters know how the at-bat ended, too.

Mitchell somehow outshone Cy Young winner and World Series champion Jake Peavy, who pitched for the Bananas on Saturday in Birmingham.
