The fans have spoken.

The winner of the latest Enquirer Athlete of the Week fan poll is KeyShaun Matthews of the Harper Creek boys basketball team.

Fans got behind Matthews to help him edge fellow Athlete of the Week finalists Aaron Maxwell, Kierre Young and Simon Vinson. Matthews received 64% of the vote by the 5 p.m. Wednesday deadline. Thanks to his fans, he will receive an Enquirer Athlete of the Week T-shirt.

Senior guard KeyShaun Matthews helped Harper Creek to back-to-back upset wins in the first two rounds of the districts as he had 16 points in the tourney opener against Coldwater and 22 points in the semifinal against Lakeview.

"KeyShaun was our offensive leader all year. When KeyShaun was at his best, we generally were a very good team on that night," Harper Creek basketball coach Matt Bowling said.
