Harpoon Brewery owner acquires Long Trail Brewing Company
The company behind Harpoon Brewery is buying Vermont-based Long Trail Brewing Company.
Mass. Bay Brewing Company announced the acquisition on Friday. The company’s co-founder and CEO, Dan Kenary, said he is “excited to deepen our already significant roots in the Green Mountain State.”
Under the agreement, Mass. Bay Brewing will continue to operate the Long Trail Riverside Pub in Bridgewater Corners, but will start brewing Long Trail, Otter Creek and Shed beers at the Harpoon Brewery in Windsor, V.T.
WhistlePig Whiskey, a Vermont-based distillery with ties to Mass. Bay Brewing., will take over the Otter Creek and Shed brewery in Middlebury, V.T. Mass. Bay Brewing will operate the Otter Creek Brewing Pub & Beer Garden.
