Sep. 23—Lindsey Harrington and the Coventry High girls volleyball team were looking for a statement win when they welcomed reigning NCCC tournament champion Suffield Thursday night.

The senior helped deliver that statement, finishing with 10 kills and 34 digs as Coventry rallied to beat the Wildcats 3-1 in NCCC play.

Game scores were 24-26, 25-17, 25-22 and 25-20.

Remmy Casida added eight kills, 13 digs and two aces for Coventry (5-3). Teammate Abby Polo had 42 assists and nine digs while Charlotte Jordan had 11 kills and 16 digs.

Suffield (7-1) had only lost one set on the season entering Thursday's match: during a 3-1 win at Newington Sept. 14.

Sienna Potvin's 13 kills paced the Wildcats. Kyah Quitno had 11 kills while Paige Baillargeon added 16 digs.

Both teams are in action Monday. Coventry entertains NCCC foe Bolton while Suffield travels to Windsor.
