Harrison Ford calls Ke Huy Quan’s award season success ‘well deserved’

Harrison Ford had nothing but kind words to say about Ke Huy Quan in a recent interview with Uproxx.
The 80-year-old actor spoke highly of his "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" co-star, 51, and his comeback performance in A24's "Everything Everywhere All at Once," calling Quan's success in this year's awards season "well deserved."
Oh yeah. Yeah, it was great to see him. I mean… I’ve had the opportunity to see the film. He is really terrific in his movie. And I’m so glad to see him … and what he has become. I’m so happy for him. He’s such a happy guy, too.
Ford and Quan reunited 38 years after the film's release during Disney’s D23 Expo in September, when it was announced that the latter would be joining the cast of "Loki" for Season 2.

“Immediately, I was transported back to 1985, when I was a little kid, and I said: ‘Yes, Indy.’ And he said: ‘Come here,’ and gave me a big hug,” Quan said. “When I wrapped my arms around him, all those wonderful memories I had on the set came flooding back. It felt so comfortable. It was amazing, and he’s an amazing man – one of the most generous men on the planet.”

Last month, Quan defended Steven Spielberg's 1984 action-adventure film from racism accusations in an interview with The Guardian, arguing that it was made "in a different time."
We’re talking about something that was done almost 40 years ago. It was a different time. It’s so hard to judge something so many years later. I have nothing but fond memories. I really don’t have anything negative to say about it.
