Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are really making the most of their summer holiday this year. After a secret getaway to Ibiza following Meghan's 38th birthday at the beginning of the month, the couple last week took their baby son Archie on a second holiday, to the South of France.

In photographs published by the Sun over the weekend, new parents Meghan and Harry were pictured walking off a private jet in Nice just two days after they returned from Ibiza. The couple reportedly flew from the private Farnborough airport, just 20 miles from their Frogmore Cottage home in Windsor, to the French Riviera in a 12-seater Cessna aircraft.

The photos show the Duke and Duchess of Sussex arriving in France alongside royal aides last Wednesday. The family was then assisted by security guards as they transferred from the aircraft to a Mercedes people carrier, which presumably took them to a private villa. The Sussex's accommodation "[overlooked] the sun-kissed Mediterranean," according to the Sun's insider reports.

It's not known how long Meghan and Harry stayed in France - or whether or not the couple is still there with their baby son. The aircraft the Duke and Duchess hired to take them to Nice was reportedly recorded as having returned to Farnborough over the weekend, but Meghan, Harry and Archie may not have been in it.

The royal family is typically given the month of August off from official duties to enjoy a summer holiday, which is probably why Meghan and Harry have been so keen to squeeze in the family time abroad in recent weeks. In September, work begins again as the couple is set to travel on a royal tour of Africa along with baby Archie.

The three-month-old will be joining his parents Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in South Africa, before Harry leaves his wife and son at a base in Cape Town to carry out working visits to Angola, Malawi and Botswana.

The trip will make Archie Mountbatten-Windsor the youngest member of the royal family to go on an official tour. But hey - at least all these European trips will mean the baby is well-travelled by the time he hits Africa in a few weeks' time.
