  • Harry Potter fans have noticed an incredible new detail about Voldemort and the Horcruxes during The Deathly Hallows.

  • Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 came out in 2010, and was followed up in 2011 by Part 2, but fans are just as obsessed as ever.

Ask any Harry Potter fan about why they love the Hogwarts franchise, and they'll have a list as long as their right arm. One of the best thing about the movie adaptations is the hidden details and intricate nuances that you only notice from watching the films time and time again.

Whether that's the frustrating plot holes or secret cameos, the latest detail viewers have picked up on centres around Voldemort and the Horcruxes. During The Deathly Hallows, while Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley are hunting down horcruxes in an attempt to defeat The Dark Lord once and for all, a fan theory reckons Voldemort's robe fades a little lighter with every one they destroyed.

Yep, while it might just look like dust covering Voldemort's cloak, it's actually a purposeful decision. As the official Wizarding World Instagram account wrote, "Did you know? In the Harry Potter films, Voldemort's robes faded in colour every time a Horcrux was destroyed, to give the impression he was slowly fading away."

"Never actually noticed😮" one fan replied in the comments, while another added, "Now we need to watch these all over again to spot this!! 😂"

A third said, "So cool! I don’t think I ever noticed that."

Consider the Harry Potter fandom, shook.
