It's official: a Harry Potter reunion is happening! 20 years after the first film in the franchise was released, the cast are set to get back together for a special show, and we can't wait. Here's what we know so far.

Do we have a trailer for the Harry Potter Reunion?

In November 2021, HBO dropped the first teaser trailer for the reunion featuring clips from across the series, and it's taking us right back to 2002.

A second trailer was dropped on 6th December, giving a glimpse into who and what to expect from the Reunion, as well as a release date.

The description read, "The invitation you've been waiting for has arrived. Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts is coming to HBO Max on New Year's Day."

On 20 December 2021, we got our first proper look at Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint reminiscing about the Harry Potter movie, while at the Warner Bros. tours. "It feels like no time has passed, and loads of time has passed," Watson says.

"This is the perfect time to sit down with everyone and reminisce," Grint adds.

Are there any photos from the Harry Potter Reunion?

On top of two epic teaser trailers (more on those below), HBO Max has now released a first look photo from the set of the Harry Potter reunion, and it's got us all kinds of excited.

The pic shows leading cast members Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint sat together having a chat - and they look to be inside none other than Hogwarts itself.

HBO Max dropped the teaser image on Twitter on 9 December, reminding fans of the episode's release date with the caption, "Like they never left. Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: #ReturnToHogwarts premieres New Year's Day on HBO Max."

A photo shared a week later on the 15 December added, "A moment 20 years in the making. Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: #ReturnToHogwarts is streaming on HBO Max New Year’s Day."

The original trio back together and in the Hogwarts castle? We're already obsessed.
