Bradley MacQueen and Drew Wanczak took second place with 18.63 pounds. Rodney Hunter and Steve Griffing placed third with 15.60 pounds.

Garrett Bard and John L. Bard had 16.26 pounds to win the Freedom Bass Anglers tournament Sept. 10 on the Harris Chain. John Bard and Charles Matlock took second place with 11.47 pounds and also had big bass with a 4.94-pounder. Kevin Blevins and Charles Walker placed third with 10.01 pounds.

John Durocher and Jared Mitchell had 19.43 pounds and also had big bass with a 5.27-pounder to win the Lakeland Bassmasters Team Trail tournament season championship Sept. 10-11 at Crooked Lake. Andy Beeman and Mike Leggitt took second place with 16.69 pounds. Stephen Lanigan and Tim Troutt placed third with 15.97 pounds.

Keith Katrien and Mark Kummelman had 26.40 pounds and also had big bass with a 5.55-pounder to win the Bass Bandits of Brandon classic tournament Sept. 10-11 on Lake Okeechobee. Ken Sharpless took second place with 17 pounds. Shane Walls and Brantley Hall placed third with 16.10 pounds.

Daniel Smith and Daniel Glisson had 9.81 pounds to win the Thursday Night Open Series tournament Sept. 8 on Lake Alfred. Mark Murphy and Jeremy Scarborough took second place with 9.23 pounds.

Zack Myers and Jon Talha had 14.75 pounds and also big bass with a 5.53-pounder to win the MacDill Bass Busters tournament Sept. 10 on Lake Weir. Angelo Flores and Dick Botting took second place with 8.26 pounds. Terrie Blackburn and Scooter Blankenship placed third with 8.16 pounds.

Ed Stephens and Trever Stephens had 16.57 pounds to win the Fishing Misfits’ tournament Sept. 10 on the Winter Haven South Chain. Robbie McGohon and Bryan Howard took second place with 14.86 pounds. Preston Branch and Colton Brogden took second place with 13.94 pounds. Bobby Ford and Mike Tucker placed third with 12.54 pounds. Anthony Coffman and Michael Walker had big bass with a 6.54-pounder.

The next Thursday Night Open Series tournament is Sept. 15 on Lake Ariana. Time is from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sign-ups are at the ramp only and will be cut off at 5:50 p.m. Entry fee is $30 per boat, no more than two people per boat. For more info, contact Rick Combee at 863-860-3916.

This is the third of three one-day tournaments to be held throughout the year and will conclude with the two-day Bonfire Shootout tournament in November.
