Hartville Flea Market changes coming: Fewer days, expanded Night Flea hours
LAKE TWP. − The Hartville Flea Market will be open two fewer days, but hours will remain the same for MarketPlace shops while Night Flea events are being expanded.
The outdoor Flea Market will be open 9 to 5 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Previous hours also included Monday and Thursday. However, there will be a farmers market on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, where produce is sold.
New flea market hours are effective today.
MarketPlace hours for the indoor shops still will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Flea market grounds and the MarketPlace are at 1289 Edison St. NW.
Outdoor Night Flea events will be at 8 p.m. on Fridays from June 2 through Sept. 1. Night Fleas were previously two or three times a year.
The events will feature produce, hand-crafted items, antiques, general merchandise, food trucks and live music, said Kirk Greaves, event coordinator at Hartville MarketPlace & Flea Market.
All indoor MarketPlace shops also will be open during the Night Fleas.
"We realize shopping patterns often change during the summer months," Seth Coblentz, general manager for the Hartville MarketPlace & Flea Market, said in a news release. "Extending our (Night Flea) hours is our way of providing a family-friendly environment for our valued customers to spend quality time shopping, relaxing and enjoying events together during the weekend."

The MarketPlace is housed inside a two-story building featuring more than 50 independent indoor shops, including those selling clothing, fashion accessories, shoes, food, furniture, crafts, toys, games, collectibles, jewelry, and assorted other items.
Coin and sports card shows and other events also take place indoors.
More than a million people visit the flea market and shops annually, according to operators.
