Hatch Early Mood Food franchises to emerge across Oklahoma

When 2023 comes to a close, Hatch Early Mood Food plans to have more than doubled its offerings thanks to new investors.

Under the Provisions Concepts (Broadway 10, Chickenfoot, Sidecar) umbrella, Hatch will grow from its current three locations to eight by the end of next year — three of them by franchise-license agreement.

“We are elated to announce these initial license partners who love the Hatch brand as much as we do,” Provisions founder Jeff Dixon said in a release.

The new franchises will open next year, starting with Stillwater. Upside Hospitality agreed to bring a Hatch location to Main Street in Stillwater next spring. Next summer, Lawton residents will find a Hatch next door to Viridian Coffee, whose owner Shay Hayes signed a licensing agreement.

Next fall, Paradies Lagardère will open and operate a Hatch location at Will Rogers World Airport. The license-agreement was reached in 2021, but COVID-19 restrictions created delays that will make it last among the group to open.

Hatch, which followed a national trend in breakfast dining blue-printed and launched by Denver's Snooze, an A.M. Eatery in 2006, opened in 2016. Like Snooze, Hatch features eggs fashionable enough to go viral on Instagram on the strength of an all-day brunch menu.

Provisions currently operates two Hatch locations in Oklahoma City and one in Tulsa. Plans for three more, including a Cherry Street location in Tulsa, are under way.

Hatch opens daily at 6 a.m. and features a full bar and community seating.
