‘I hate Valentine’s Day’: Fresno restaurant celebrates selfishness

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Valentine’s Day is known as a holiday of celebrating love with the colors of pink and red filling the room. However, Clovis and Fresno’s Press Box Sports Grill restaurant thinks otherwise as they host an “I Hate Valentine’s Day” dinner on Wednesday.

For $20, organizers say the restaurant’s visitors could order half an order of wings, a square-shaped personal pizza, and a half helping of dessert.

This ambiance of the “Anti Valentine’s Day dinner” had attendees dining in with black balloons and dead roses as centerpieces. The event is billed as “an entire day of unbridled selfishness.”

Press Box has three locations:

  • 1552 E Champlain Dr., Fresno, CA 93720.

  • 6022 N Figarden Dr, Fresno, CA 93722.

  • 1785 Herndon Ave, Clovis, CA 93611.
