Haunted houses & pumpkin patches: List of fall and Halloween events on the MS Coast

It’s time for fall festivals and Halloween events in South Mississippi.

Several new events are on the schedule this year as families pick a pumpkin or wander through a maze at one of the many Coast pumpkin patches. Cemetery tours are a tradition on the Coast as is trunk-or-treat that started as a safe alternative after Hurricane Katrina and continues to be a great way to haul in a bag of candy.

Here’s where the fun is across the Coast:

Ongoing

Friday & Saturday plus Oct. 31 — Terror on the Coast, a Hollywood-style haunted house in The Warehouse, 3420 Giles Road, Gulfport. Tickets start at $25 per person. 7-11 p.m. Props used in the horror vignettes are from academy award winning TV and movie productions filmed in and around Mississippi and Louisiana.

Saturday and Sunday thru Oct. 29 — BOO at MSAQ at Mississippi Aquarium, 2100 E Beach Blvd., Gulfport. Explore the spooky (not scary) Sea Cave black light maze and find your way through twists and turns of glowing creatures that live in the deep. Experience included with general admission.

Pumpkin patches

Thru Nov, 4 — Seward Farm Maze, 10836 Tanner Williams Road, Lucedale. Open Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Haunt Hours are Oct. 21 & 28, 6-8:30 p.m. The farm has corn maze, pig races, funny farm golf, hayrides and cow train, tube slide and corn cannon, farm animals.

Sat. & Sun. thru Oct. 29Southern Promiseland Farm, 1212 Raygan Lane, Kiln. Open Saturdays 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday 1-4 p.m. Ten acre corn maze, hayrides, farm animals, play and picnic Area, pumpkin patch, grass maze, cow trains.

While pumpkins last — Trinity Pumpkin Patch, 125 Church Ave., Pass Christian.

Weekends thru Oct.29 — Williams Family Farms pumpkin patch and maze, Wiggins/ Open Saturdays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in October.

Cemetery tours

Oct. 26 — Krebs Cemetery Tour, at 4602 Fort St., Pascagoula, 5;30-7:30 p.m.

Oct. 28 — Cedar Rest Cemetery Tour, 200 S. Second St., Bay St. Louis. 4-6 p.m. Historical society members in period dress portray citizens buried at Cedar Rest. Refreshments and candy for the kids.

Nov. 3-4 — Live Oak Cemetery Tour, 125 Church Ave., Pass Christian. Guided tours from 5-8 p.m. Among those who will be portrayed are the great grand-niece of President George Washington, two sailors on the U.S.S. Arizona during the bombing of Pearl Harbor and the socialite who hosted President Woodrow Wilson at the Dixie White House. Admission is $5 cash. 12 and under free.

Trunk or Treat

Oct. 26 — Trunk or Treat at Children’s International Pediatrics, 618 Blue Meadow Road, Bay St. Louis. 6-8 p.m.

Oct. 27 —Trunk or Treat, sponsored by the Pass Christian Police Department at the Fleitas Avenue Ball Fields Parking Lot at Second Street and Fleitas. 5-7 p.m. Candy donations can be dropped off at the police department at 525 Espy Ave.

Oct. 27 — Trunk or Treat Mississippi Gulf Coast YMCA, at 1810 Government St., Ocean Springs. Free. 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Oct.27 — Trunk or Treat presented by Memorial Health System and Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop K at Memorial Hospital Gulfport’s South Building, 1231 44TH Ave., Gulfport. Games, music, candy. Free. 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Oct. 29 — Trunk or Treat at First Baptist Church Biloxi, 1560 Popp’s Ferry Road. Free. 3-5 p.m.

Oct. 29 — Community Trunk or Treat at First Baptist Church Gulfport, 12190 MS 605. Free. 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Oct. 31 — D’Iberville Trunk or Treat at the Bobby Eleuterius Sports Complex, 10706 Kajja Dr. Free. 5:30-7:30p.m.

Oct 31 — Chills & Thrills Trunk-or-Treat at Harrison County Fairgrounds, 15321 County Farm Road, Gulfport. All candy will be provided by the county supervisors. Free. 6-8 p.m.

Oct. 26 —Halloween Spectacular: “Who Dun It?” A 1923 Murder Mystery Show from 9 a.m.-2p.m. at Biloxi Civic Center, 578 Howard Ave., Biloxi. Free. Costume contest, door prizes, vendor booths, stage performance and dancing. Lunch at noon

Oct. 26 — BOO on the RUE at 135 Rue Magnolia in downtown Biloxi. Family and fur friendly (pets must be on leash). Costume contest and entertainment. 5:30-8:30 p.m.

Oct. 26 — OktoBEEfest 2023 at Chandeleur Island Brewing Co., 2711 14th Street, Gulfport. Specialty brews on tap, food and additional drinks. Benefits Seabee Historical Foundation and Seabee Memorial Scholarship Assn. $10 per person. 5 p.m.

Oct. 26 — Latin Dance Nightmare at Ground Zero Blues Club, 814 Howard Ave., Biloxi. Dance instructor Stephen Scialdone Passman will teach the moves of the Bachata. Dance lessons at 7 p.m. Doors open at 8 p.m. with Latin band Zona Libre. Costume Contest and Bachata Dance Contest. Proceeds benefit Mississippi Heroes.

Oct. 26 —MercyMe: Together Again Tour at 7 p.m., Coast Coliseum, 2350 Beach Blvd., Biloxi. Tickets start at $28.

Oct. 27 — Cinema Under the Oaks: “Hocus Pocus” near the Friendship Oak and University of South Mississippi, 730 E. Beach Blvd, Long Beach. Trunk or treat, low cost concessions and games open at 6 p.m., movie begins at 7 p.m. Free admission. Bring chairs and blankets and wear costumes. No alcohol or tobacco allowed on campus.

Cocktails & Cabooses — All Aboard to The Twilight Zone, a benefit presented by Long Beach Carnival Association at TrainTastic, 615 Pass Road, Gulfport. Come dressed in Hollywood 1930’s glam for a night of dining, cocktails, dancing & fun from 7-10:30 p.m. $50 oe $75 per couple. Ages 21+ only.

Oct. 27 — Halloween in Woolmarket Ballpark, 16520 Switzer Park Road, Biloxi. Trick-or-Treating begins at 6:30 p.m. Movie “Hocus Pocus” starts at 7:30 p.m. Costume contest with cash prizes for ages 16 and under. Free

Oct 27 — Witches & Warlocks Ride, Long Beach. Golf cart and bicycle group ride before the USM “Hocus Pocus” Showing Under the Oaks. Meet in the parking lot near Lloyd Hall Lawn at 4:30 p.m. and Bring a sweet treat for the residents at Equal Steps Veterans Home. Free.

Oct. 27 — Long Beach Tricks! Treats! Trails! behind the Senior Center at 20257 Daugherty Road, Long Beach. Costumes for all ages, Halloween Trail and candy. Free. 5-8 p.m.

Oct. 27-28 — Biloxi Fire Museum Haunted House at at 1046 Howard Ave.., Biloxi, will be operated by a skeleton staff from 6-9p.m. Seven frightening, character-filled stops: The Mad Scientist, The Insane Asylum, The Dungeon, The Haunted Hallway, The Cemetery, The Witch’s Den and The Haunted Scarecrow. Admission is $10, or $5 for children under 8, who must be accompanied by an adult.

Oct. 27-28 — Spooky Springs @ The Scary C. Two nights of thrills and chills for all ages at Mary C. O’Keefe Cultural Arts Center, 1600 Government St., Ocean Springs. Free admission with $5 fee for the Haunted House. Games, trick or treating, dancing with animated characters. 6-9 p.m.

Oct. 27 - 29 — An Eerie Evening Of Entertainment. Two one act plays, The Wacky Horror Cyber Show and The Edger Allen Poe Afterlife Radio show, presented by Singing River Little Theatre and Pascagoula High School at the PHS Performing Arts Center 2104 Tucker Road, Pascagoula. Oct. 27-28 at 7 p.m. and Oct. 29 at 2 p.m.

Oct. 28 — Wizards & Pumpkins — A Harry Potter Halloween Fun Festival at Lynn Meadows Discovery Center, 246 Dolan Avenue, Gulfport. $12 admission to museum plus trick-or-treating, Harry Potter themed activities, carnival style games, arts and crafts. 10a.m.-noon.

Oct. 28 — Witches Walk in downtown Bay St. Louis. 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Prizes for the best broom, shoes, hat and more.

Oct. 28 — Hallowings Flightfest at Stennis Airport, 7250 Stennis Airport Road, Kiln. Candy, food trucks, aircraft, Air Traffic Control Tower tours. 1-4 p.m. Free

Oct. 28 — Tricky Trash Halloween Bash, 380 Hiller Drive, Biloxi. Beach cleanup from 4-6:30 p.m., then volunteers enjoy games and costume prizes for adults and kids.

Oct. 28 —Witches Ride of Ocean Springs starts at 5:30 p.m. More than 400 witches and warlocks will bicycle or walk through downtown throwing treats to those lining the streets at this fundraiser for local animal welfare groups. Rain date Oct. 29. Pub craw begins at 4 p.m. Tickets are $10 online at oswitchesride.com.

Oct. 28 — Hocus Pocus Movie Night at Pine Hills Nursery, 7434 Cuevas Road, Pass Christian, 6-8 p.m $5 per family includes movie and popcorn.

Oct.28 — Trunk or Treat & a Movie, presented by City of Biloxi at Eagle Point Park, 10519 Pin Oak Drive, Biloxi. Food trucks, door prizes, free popcorn. “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” movie at dusk. Awards for best decorated trunk — must be set up by 4:30 PM.

Oct. 28 —Moonlight Masquerade 2023: Wizard’s Ball at White Pillars, 1696 Beach Blvd. , Biloxi. Live music, tarot readings, magicians, dancers, silent auction. Age 21 and older, costume contest. Hors d’oeuvres, small plates, charcuterie buffet by White Pillars. Two free signature cocktail tickets with entry. Benefits Gulf Coast Center for Nonviolence. $75 per person. 7-11p.m.

Oct. 28 — Rocky Horror Picture Show — Movie Madness Experience at Biloxi Little Theatre, 220 Lee St. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Shows at 9 p.m. $20 with Prop Kit, $15 without Prop Kit

Oct 28 and 31 — Margaritaville’s Spooky Escape at 195 Beach Boulevard, Biloxi. Family-appropriate costume contest for adults and kids. with stays at Margaritaville Resort Biloxi and game cards among the prizes. 4-6 p.m. Trick or treating 5-8 p.m.

Oct. 29 — Fall Foam Fest at Biloxi Town Green, 710 Beach Blvd. Free. 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Music, food, chalk walk, foam party, petting zoo, craft vendors, trick or treating from 3:30-5:30 p.m., bounce houses, obstacle course.Costume contest at 5:30 p.m.

Oct. 30 — Halloween Bash at St. Martin Library, 15004 Lemoyne Blvd, Biloxi. Not-so-scary family Halloween Bash. Free. 3:30 p.m.

Oct. 31 — Rocky Horror Picture Show at Hard Rock Casino Biloxi. No masks and excessive face paint. 9 p.m.
