Officers responded to a report of a shooting near Forbes Avenue around 11:45 p.m. Upon arriving to the scene, police found two men suffering from single gun shot wounds. One of the men was shot in the buttocks and was “alert and conscious,” but the driver in the vehicle was unresponsive with a wound to the head, police said.

Both men were transported to Yale New Haven hospital.

The man who was wounded on his lower-body is in stable condition, meanwhile the driver is listed in critical condition, police added.

Police didn’t reveal the victim’s names as the investigation remains ongoing.
