A New Haven 18-year-old was arrested Tuesday in connection to a June shooting.

The shooting occurred in Hamden near Morse Street and Shelton Avenue on June 11.

“Residents had reported that three young males were walking on Morse Street, near Shelton Avenue,” police said. “Moments later, three males exited a dark-colored sedan and fired multiple gunshots at the young males. They subsequently ran eastbound on Morse Street, in an attempt to find cover.”

None of the males were injured, but bullets damaged a house and motor vehicle, police said.

De’or Freeman, 18, was charged with first-degree criminal attempt to commit assault, first-degree reckless endangerment, illegal discharge of a firearm and weapon in a motor vehicle, in connection to the shooting. He’s held on $500,000 bond and expected in court August 11.

Police expect more arrests.
