Haverstraw church raising funds for family who lost infant daughter in Valley Cottage crash

A Rockland church has identified the victim of Tuesday's major crash on Route 303 in Valley Cottage.

St. Mary's Knanaya Catholic Church in Haverstraw said in a Facebook post that 1-year-old Jacinta Roger Kunnakattumalayil was the child killed in the crash. Her 31-year-old mother Chinnu and 3-year-old brother Johan were still in the hospital as of Wednesday afternoon.

The church set up a GoFundMe fundraiser to help the Kunnakattumalayil pay for the young victim's funeral costs and her mother's surgery to repair a fractured leg.
