Having issues with your cell service? You are not alone. AT&T, Verizon outages reported

Having issues with your Verizon, AT&T or T-Mobile service? Well you are not alone.

Outage reports have been pouring into the Downdetector website Thursday morning from customers across the country.

Downdetector records outages using user-submitted reports.

As of 7:29 a.m. more than 60,000 AT&T customers were reporting outages, while nearly 12,000 Cricket Wireless customers were reporting outages.

The outages have already begun to impact essential public services, including people’s ability to call emergency responders.

“Some of our customers are experiencing wireless service interruptions this morning. We are working urgently to restore service to them," AT&T said in a statement to USA TODAY on Thursday morning. "We encourage the use of Wi-Fi calling until service is restored.”

Verizon, T-Mobile and other carriers also had a rise in reports around that time, according to the site.

AT&T allows customers to check on outages with your mobile phone or internet here. Users can also sign up to receive text alerts concerning outages

Verizon outage map

In order to check to Verizon outages, customers must be logged into the website. Users will be able to check on repair status and find troubleshooting information. The site also offers an outage map.

T-Mobile outage map

While T-Mobile offers a coverage map, they do not show outages on the map. Customers are expected to visit a troubleshooting page for no service and signal issues.

When will AT&T service be restored?

There have been no reports yet as to when service will return.

What does it mean when your iPhone says SOS?

Apple Support says if you see "No Service" or "Searching" in the status bar on your iPhone or iPad, your device isn't connected to a cellular network. If you see "SOS" or "SOS only" in the status bar, your device can still make emergency calls. The feature is available in the United States, Canada and Australia.

SEPTA delays

SEPTA posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, that the service issues are causing disruptions to the train schedules.
