A shuttered hospital in Hawaiian Gardens is set to hold a hiring event after a recent reopening as a COVID-19 treatment center.
JADE HERNANDEZ: Good morning. This hospital closed down back in 2017. It's now reopening to help its community with COVID-19. Now the community is Hawaiian Gardens. There will be a hiring fair for nurses right here later this morning.
I want you to take a look at this. Today that hiring fair will be held from 10:00 to 2:00. Pacific Gardens Medical Center is looking to staff its 137-bed [AUDIO OUT] an ER, ICU, and COVID-19 facilities. The hospital needs to fill staffing for pharmacy, surgery, and radiology, among other things. Previously, the hospital struggled financially. Now it reopens to aid the community during the pandemic.
Here are the details about the job fair. It will be held today from 10:00 to 2:00. The hospital will be hiring 100 skilled and non-skilled nurses and other hospital workers.
